As the keys to the White House are handed over once again to Donald J. Trump, America and the world stand on the edge of a deep abyss.
Trump once claimed that he could go out on Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and not lose any support. Lots of things have happened since that would convince anyone that this is true. He knows his cult.
Now, because justice was not carried out in the case of the many crimes for which he was impeached or indicted, Trump believes he can get away with literally anything. That makes him far more dangerous now than he's ever been. He's always been lawless, but now there are few remaining guard rails to restrain his lawlessness.
But, you can be sure, he won't get away with any of it in the long run. God will soon call him fully to account. At seventy-eight, Trump only has so much time left. And all the money and power in the world won't save him from having to stand at the bar of the Supreme Judge, who always rules righteously.
The only question left is how much damage he's going to do to the republic, and to the world, in the meantime.
All I can do at this point is pray, "Thy will be done, Lord," while being confident that I spoke out clearly and unequivocally to warn all of those I could reach.
